Some crazy person is attempting to brute force attack my site by trying to guess my login!
I don’t know what they’d want with my site. I don’t have any treasure to steal or secrets locked away.
This just shows that bad people will try to hack and steal anything they come across. I’m just glad I have the right security in place for this…
…Thanks goes to Loginizer Security for protecting my from these brute force attacks.
I noticed this problem as I’ve gone to my WordPress login page to do my daily blog. I’d get an error of “Too many failed login attempts”.
I had to wait up to 24 hours for my account to get unlocked.
Thankfully I have another way of getting onto my WordPress site…but I’m not saying anymore about that.
There must be a bot farm that constantly finds websites to login to. I’ve gotten up to 56 failed logins in just 24 hours.
Someone was doing 5 failed logins which triggers a login lock out for an hour. They came back an hour later and repeated all that 5 more times. That then triggered a 24 hour lock out.
I look forward to seeing my future login stats.
That’s one of the risks of starting your own website and building an email list. You put a target on your back.
